Sales Engineer

Role Description

As a Solutions Engineer, you will help qualify and close opportunities with customers and partners. You will provide technical expertise delivered through sales presentations, product demonstrations, and the management of product evaluations. You will also have a voice with the Trovata product team to help prioritize features based on input from customers, competitors, and partners.


  • Partner with the Sales Team to articulate and demonstrate our value proposition, vision and strategy to customers
  • Own product and technical engagement with customers during the sales cycle 
  • Achieve the product win on sales opportunities through competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility
  • Maintain accurate notes and feedback in our CRM, documenting both wins and losses
  • Proactively engage and communicate with customers and internal teams leading on product feedback and competitive intelligence for the sales team


  • Have at least 3 years in Sales Engineering, or similar client-facing role
  • Extensive experience working with corporate finance personas (treasury, controller, FP&A, AR/AP, accounting)
  • Robust understanding of the finance systems stack and processes
  • You can deliver an outstanding product demonstration
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
  • You act professionally at all times and are seen as highly credible by your peers Able to think creatively and solve problems independently
  • Knowledge of corporate and wholesale banking (bonus points)
