Deal Desk Lead

Role Description

Trovata is looking for a highly motivated Deal Desk Lead to join our Sales Operations organization. As part of the Sales Operations team, reporting to the CFO,  you will be responsible for managing the day to day contract creation and deal approval process, while ensuring compliance with policy and accuracy in our internal CRM. You will partner across functions playing a key role in improving processes and driving go-to-market efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Primary contact and subject matter expert for the internal sales contracting policy and deal approval process 
  • Accurately processing and closing executed orders within Salesforce.com
  • Support complex deal structures and escalations
  • Ensure data quality of opportunities in Salesforce.com
  • Provide training, coaching and continuous feedback to Sales to ensure understanding of and compliance with the quote to cash process.
  • Support Sales, Finance and leadership reporting through maintaining and updating Salesforce.com reports and dashboards
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Sales, Finance, Client Success, Legal, and Information Security to develop, implement and maintain sales process best practices
  • Work directly with Salesforce.com Admin on projects and process improvement initiatives 
  • Support client invoicing
  • Manage billed and unbilled receivables
  • Support Accounting with identification of performance obligations and subscription terms for revenue recognition impacting items

Requirements

  • 3+ years in fast paced SaaS start-up environment (Deal Desk or Sales Operations)
  • High level of expertise with Salesforce.com CRM and CPQ or other closely related technologies
  • Working knowledge of finance technology (banking platforms and/or treasury management systems)
  • Ability to work independently, in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision
  • Track record of identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge of quote to cash life cycle
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong proactive communicator
